I am into DIY projects these days, whether they are organizers, makeup products or other beauty related stuff. I have tried this DIY makeup organizer using the stuff that is lying in our drawers & available in our stationary.
1&2 - Two Card stock sheets (Usually used in craft projects)
- Any spare box (I used the one I got The Body Shop stuff in it)
- Scissor
- Measuring Scale
- Pen
- Lip Gloss & Lipstick to measure the width of a portion
3&4 - Mark the width & height of your box on the card stock sheet.
5 - Mark the spaces, I left 3cm space for each portion.
6 - Cut the paper, also cut the lines half way, separating each portion .
7 - You can measure the width of the portion by placing your lipstick or lips gloss on it to see if they will fit inside. You can also do this during step # 5.
8 - Cut all the papers, I left 3cm spaces,so there were total nine portions, in that way I required total eighteen papers to form the mesh because my box was square shaped.
9 - Start making your mesh by fitting open portions into each other, this step will require your patience & effort :).
10 - After some effort, it will start looking as your papers are forming a shape.
11 - Once you finish working, it will start looking like a proper mesh.
12 - Put the whole mesh inside your box, & voila!!!! your makeup organizer is readyyyy!!!
13 - Start filling it with your stuff until all the empty space gets filled.
I really really love my handmade makeup organizer, it's a very overwhelming feeling when you end up achieving something. I was so happyyyy when I saw it's final beautiful look. I used washi tapes to decorate it's outer part. Washi tapes are easily avaialble at all stationary stores & they are not expensive at all. You can also do it for your other makeup stuff like eye shadows & blushes but measuring their widths.
I hope you liked my this DIY makeup organizer. I have so many other DIY projects inline and will post soon.
What other stuff you want me to do as DIY??? Do let me know, I will do it for you!!
